The d5 range was designed with induction hobs in mind, as its five layers of indestructible metal—18/10 stainless steel exteriors, with two heavy-gauge layers of heat-responsive aluminium in the middle plus a core of stainless steel—help prevent warping. This construction is especially useful in a non-stick pan, as the stainless steel layer helps diffuse the heat so it does not put too much stress on the coating.
