The heat distribution is extremely even and the pan will respond to changes in heat virtually immediately. This casserole is constructed from 90% pure copper, with a stainless steel interior for ease of cleaning and an induction base that allows you to use it on all hob types. The handles are made from cast iron to provide a traditional aesthetic. You can use this pan in the oven too. The base is what sets the Prima Matera range apart from similar ranges of copper cookware, as it allows for the pan to be primarily constructed from pure copper. It is not dishwasher-safe.
