HAND Studio Tide Ramen Bowl

A Ramen Bowl from HAND Studio's Tide Collection. Individually thrown in Highgate, this bowl is great for anyone who loves Japanese art, design, and food.

---DETAILS---

Each piece from HAND Studio Ceramics is individually wheel-thrown by founder Hannah Hargreaves Davis in her Highgate, London studio. Crafted in small batches using flecked stoneware clay, the forms are reimagined takes on traditional ceramics, featuring Hannah’s signature narrow cork-like foot. Pieces are decorated with expressive black clay slip and sweeping brushstrokes from a large hake brush, making every vessel completely unique.

Inspired by Hannah’s visits to the Kent coast, the Tide Collection captures the ever-changing landscapes of the shoreline. The serene green exterior – formed using oxidised copper – evokes tidal waters. (There is no unlined copper on the inside, making it food safe.) These heirloom-quality pieces are artisanal, one-of-a-kind, and best hand-washed to preserve their character. This ramen bowl is great for anyone who loves Japanese art, design, and food. The tall sides and deep base keep steam in to keep the food warm, making it ideal for ramen, soup, noodles and pasta. The bowl also fits comfortably in the hand and has a small foot to protect your hand from the heat.

---BENEFITS---

'Though this is called a ramen bowl, you can use it for any soup or noodle soup. The tall sides and narrow base are designed to keep steam in, ensuring food stays warmer for longer.'
