In the 146 years since, no other salt and pepper mills stay as sharp, resist corrosion as well, and last as long. The grinding mechanism of this salt mill is made from medical-grade zirconia, which stays sharp over a lifetime of use (and is backed by a warranty). This patented mechanism grinds a wide variety of dry salts, including flaky salt, with utmost precision. In its finest grind, you can use less salt with no loss of flavour.. The innovative u'Select grind system settings can be found on the bottom of the mill with roman numerals—I is finest, and VI is most coarse. Just set your preference, crank the mill, and season your food to bring out its flavours. The body is made from European beechwood and stainless steel finish. A complementary pepper mill in a contemporary matt black finish is sold separately.
