Jars Tourron Wide Bowl / 33cm / Ombre Gris
Made in France, this ceramic serving bowl is beautiful for serving salads and other dishes. The Ombre Gris colour is exclusive to us.
---DETAILS---
Made from the highest quality ceramic, this Jars Tourron Wide Bowl features a glazed cream interior and exterior that blends into grey in an ombre effect. Jars has developed a unique firing process to save energy by firing only once at 1285°C rather than the standard three times. This extremely high heat makes their ceramics very robust, able to withstand dishwasher use without any effect on colour or composition, as well as resist chipping. The subtle 'crackled' effect on the inner polished glaze is the company's signature, and emphasises the purity of handmade stoneware. This multipurpose wide bowl features an understated ombre fade from white to grey that is a complementary tone to the Givre and Brume of the Epure range, and effortlessly blends with other tableware. The Ombre Gris colour is exclusive to us.
This piece can be pre-heated in a low oven (max 150°C) from room temperature. It should not be used for cooking. Over 200°C, and in particular when using oil, the crackled-effect glaze can ‘open’ and may let colours of cooked foods in, making it impossible to remove.
---BENEFITS---
'Jars ceramics are totally unique. They have the look of fully handmade ceramics but are very durable. Restaurants love their plates, bowls and cups because they can go through the dishwasher multiple times a day but still maintain their lustre. Since their collections are vast (a result of their international popularity), they look lovely when mixed with multiple colours from a range.'
